Weather: Brief drizzle in the morning. Clear weather through entire route. Drizzle and very cloudy in Accord.

Today we have part two of the drive to get to our first real destination in Accord, NY. 475 miles. Should take around 8 hours. 🛣

Weather: Slight fog in the morning. Good weather throughout route.

  • 5:30a: Mazda odometer is 117 miles.
  • 5:59a: Depart! Sunrise!
  • 6:25a Enter Wisconsin
  • 7:16a: Son Volt “Trace”
  • 9:50a: Gas in Madison
  • 11:00a: Enter Illinois
  • 1:05: Enter Indiana
  • 2:00p CT/3:00p ET: Enter Eastern Time Zone
  • 4:55p: Enter Ohio
  • 7:40p: Arrive in Cleveland!
  • 8:30p: Dinner at 3 Palms.
  • 9:30p: Delicious Graeter’s Ice Cream.

Spending the night in Cleveland, OH so we had to get some amazing Graeter’s French Pot Ice Cream.

Today we “blast off” 🚀 our road trip to Vermont with a 760 mile drive to Cleveland! 🛣

We head out on vacation tomorrow. I setup my email auto-responders on both work and personal accounts. Created Vacation deferral folders for Sanebox to use. And a new thing, I decided to make my own DIY Vacation mode for Feedbin to mark all new items as read.

I sat outside for two hours tonight with my book club and now my eyes are burning. The air is very smoky.
