Looking forward to an amazing Growth Summit 2023 with #TeamSPS today! πŸ™Œ

    TeamSPS 2022 Kubb Tournament

We had our 4th annual TeamSPS Kubb Tournament today. We were graced with impeccable weather to throw some Kubb. We had 16 teams of five or six people. The tournament format we used was very similar to last year, and simple to play. We had four round robin groups of four teams each. They played three single-game rounds, time limited at 25 minutes. At the end of 25 minutes the team with the most baseline Kubbs standing was declared the winner. A throw off would have been used on a baseline tie, but that wasn’t even needed.

After the round robins were completed we ranked each team first to fourth in their group, and then went out into four simple brackets to get a winner from each.

We did have a bit of a surprise when the sprinkler system at SPS Tower turned on while we were still playing. It continued and interfered with one final game, but everyone was a good sport about getting a little wet. πŸ’¦

Final results of the #LeadTheWay bracket gave the overall with to Rubiks Kubb!

This is such a great event and everyone has a wonderful time. I can’t wait to direct the 2023 Tournament!

We had our #TeamSPS St. Patrick’s Day celebration for the first time since 2019! Something green, some Guinness, and we even had some Hurling! πŸ€

We had a great Pi Day celebration for #TeamSPS. Somehow I managed to take pictures of the setup and forgot to take more when the people showed up!

Final prep for afternoon presentation to the amazing #TeamSPS sales team. β˜•οΈπŸ™Œ

    TeamSPS 2021 Kubb Tournament

TeamSPS had a great time playing Kubb today, connecting with colleagues, and having a fun time. We weren’t able to have this event in 2020 due to COVID-19, but thanks to vaccines we were able to throw some batons together! Several people commented how much they loved this event. Here are some selected photos from Tim Van Cleave who was so generous to volunteer as official photographer! He has an entire album of additional shots as well.

You can also see the official SPS Tech Blog post on the Kubb event, and looks back to our 2019 and 2018 events. This event got real momentum after we did Kubb at Tech Jam in 2016. The first introduction was a Kubb Class in 2014 that was part of our SPS Charity Auction. Kubb has some deep roots with Team SPS!

    See: 2023, 2022, 2021, 2019, and 2018 tournaments.

We had our very first quarterly company meeting with some of the team in-person, masked, at the Minneapolis Convention Center. It was great to see so many of #TeamSPS together for the first time in so long.

I love the #TeamSPS Cyberweek 2020 Shirt, and for the first time a paired challenge coin! πŸͺ™ The challenge coin was also minted as an NFT. We also included the themed deck of playing cards. ♠️ Thank you to Kat Alberts for the great design.

2021 Minnesota Aspirations in Computing Award Ceremony

Great night joining the Minnesota Aspirations in Computing Award Ceremony tonight and recognizing so many young women that are making their mark in STEM. I also want to welcome our four #TeamSPS summer interns Ezigbo, Caroline, Claire, and Cecelia to SPS Commerce. I can’t wait to see what you create! Lastly, a huge thanks to Jade Denson of MnTech for emceeing and bringing so much fun and energy to the event!

Today we announced that Data Masons is becoming part of SPS Commerce! This is a great combination and I’m looking forward to all we will do together.

The news was also shared on the NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square!

    Growth Summit 2021

Today #TeamSPS joined together around the world for Growth Summit 2021! We had a great event, with the show being broadcast live from the Minneapolis Convention Center. We had a ton of precautions to keep things as safe as possible with the pandemic.

The event was fabulous, and the team was engaged with online activities that were paired up with the sessions. Truly a great online experience.

We had a thought provoking keynote from Greg Bell on the power of a simple question, What is Going Well?

I loved some of the behind the scenes stuff. I’d like to play around with all this gear.

Had to get made up for the big event.

What a great day #TeamSPS! It is going to be a great 2021!

Fun #TeamSPS project for a Friday afternoon. Enlisting the kids to help with decorating. ☝️

We had a nice (socially distanced) walk along the Snake River / Emily Stevens Park in Jackson, WY with Kendra Gapinski @klgapinski and family! #TeamSPS

We capped off TechJam 2020 with a keynote from Casey Rosenthal on resilient systems and the practices that enable and support that transition. He filled it with fabulous stories relating the core resiliency topics to historical problems. πŸ™Œ #TeamSPS #SPSTechJam

Love the enthusiasm and passion that Dr. Venkat Subramaniam is sharing with #TeamSPS during TechJam! β€œSpearheading the Future of Programming” His love for the craft of programming is overflowing! πŸ‘©β€πŸ’»πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» #SPSTechJam

Today we kick off #TeamSPS TechJam 2020! We have 31 presenters leading sessions that “follow the sun” with our teams around the world! The event is framed in with a Hackathon and Deep Racer competition! We are embracing remote with all activities online! #SPSTechJam πŸ™Œ

    Distribution Center Simulation

I was able to participate in one of the first run-throughs of our new Distribution Center Simulation! It was a fabulous experience that will help #TeamSPS contextualize the benefit our services have for our customers. Hats off to the team that made this vision a reality. I love how they made it all real by using real products and staging everything just like it would happen in a distribution center. They even had speakers with truck and forklift sounds! 🚚

Also, extremely impressive how they modified the process to allow us to do this in-person experience during the pandemic. 😷
