Just converted 240 images from CR2 to DNG. First ever use of DNG. Attracted by the 10-20% reduction in file size.
File copy was taking forever and I just noticed I was on my 802.11g network. Flipped to 802.11n, much faster.
Spent the entire evening playing digital librarian. Moving photos and home movies around to their proper spots. Tedious, but necessary.
Would someone come and add metadata to 50,000 photos and home movies?
