I’m not very handy, so I get disproportionately excited when I do complete little home projects. New drier vent with guard installed! Last winter the squirrels put over 20 pine cones in the vent!

The southwest dogleg of Cannon Lake is already extremely weedy with a lot of floating algae. The boat lanes look like roads. With July and August still ahead of us, this could be a pretty bad year for algae.

Email from our daughters high school:

“Due to budget cuts, the number of counselors serving Washburn students has shrunk from 5 to 3. Though our enrollment will once again be approximately 1650 students…”

We are in an incredibly anxious time. Many families are destabilized due to the pandemic and record unemployment. Add to that the tough work that we need to do on racism. Reducing counselors by 40% in the midst of that feels short-sighted.

Budgets are what they are, but hopefully these kids are going to find some support in their communities and families too, as many will need it.

We had a great backyard guitar performance tonight. 🎸

This is bad. There are states safely reopening. Others should be following their lead. 😷

Tammy and I had dinner on the patio at Italian Eatery tonight. It was the first time we ate at a restaurant since March 15th! I surprised myself by how excited I was to be out somewhere! Super Tuscan red wine, Shaved Root Salad, and Baked Garganelli with Meatballs. 🤤

Galaga was one of my favorite arcade games back in the day. I got this awesome Quarter Arcade Galaga Cabinet for Father’s Day this year. The game play is a perfect replica! 🕹

I’m one lucky guy to get to celebrate Father’s Day with these two awesome kids and my wonderful wife.

We had a great day yesterday with my stepdad Bruce, sister Alona, and nephew Garrett! The kids had a great time in the pool! 🏊‍♂️

We commemorated Juneteenth today by getting dinner from two Black-owned businesses. Main course from Milton’s Vittles, Vino, and Beer and dessert was from B’beri Desserts! All of it was great!

At Milton’s Vittles, Vino, and Beer to pickup dinner and things are very busy. I think the various Black-owned business lists have been effective in getting the word out!
