I like these new “What’s new” screens that Drafts started showing. This is a great way for a subscription product to make sure that people see the continued new capabilities being added all the time.
A very common business mistake I see is attempting to adopt practices from companies with total revenue close to yours. I think growth rate is a better way to determine what you can learn from outside practices.
Twin Cities CIO of the Year ORBIE Award
It was a huge honor to be recognized as the Large Corporate ORBIE Winner by Twin Cities CIO! I’ve been lucky to work with amazing people and in great companies building a variety of leading products. SPS shared the announcement as well.
It was a stellar evening to connect, for the first time in two years, with this great group of local CIOs and CTOs. Kraus-Anderson was nice enough to share their balcony space with the group (Thanks Tony Peleska). The weather was perfect. A big thank you to Dee Thibodeau, Nick Hernandez, and Nate Haines for making this happen. And the wine overviews from Chuck Kanski of Solo Vino Wines were great, as always.
For our recent team all-hands we had a photo theme on back to school. I used my very formal High School graduation picture, and decided to make set my virtual zoom background as if I was still in that shot. This was pretty fun. 😉
TeamSPS 2021 Kubb Tournament
TeamSPS had a great time playing Kubb today, connecting with colleagues, and having a fun time. We weren’t able to have this event in 2020 due to COVID-19, but thanks to vaccines we were able to throw some batons together! Several people commented how much they loved this event. …
