Today Gnosis Chain activated the Dencun upgrade before Ethereum. I run a validator on Gnosis and POAP tokens are also issued on Gnosis. Gnosis vision of a multi-chain Ethereum ecosystem makes sense to me.

Totally agree with Paul Graham’s take on NFTs.
NFTs can be used for so many different things that you're inviting history to make a fool of you if you dismiss them. Even if I were sure that most current uses of NFTs were bogus, I'd never dare to say that all possible uses were.

I went to my profile, signed in as thingelstad.sol with Phantom, and then connected to thingelstad.eth with MetaMask! 🤯
Now when I look at Foxesburg Geluksdal #GEL384 my Foxes are there (staked of course), all my Solana Angry Bunny Club, and my Ethereum wallet with my Divine, ENS domains, and even a POAP I migrated to Mainnet from xDai!

Crypto Markets and Kids Soccer
On Wednesday May 12 at 5:06pm CT Elon Musk tweeted that Tesla would no longer accept Bitcoin to buy cars. The company also has $1.5B of Bitcoin on their balance sheet, reported $300M of which they’ve sold. Musks message is about the carbon footprint of Bitcoin. Odd since this isn’t new information.

Anyway, my commentary is not about Musk’s position but the market reaction. Immediately, as one would expect, Bitcoin dropped 10%.

Now lets talk about kids soccer. Any parent that has watched their kids play soccer knows what it looks like. There is a big group of kids chasing the ball around with no tactics or strategy. Ball is over there, run and get it.
The crypto market was all kids soccer with this. Filecoin, which has nothing in common with the Bitcoin news dropped nearly the same, with a slight time lag.

Then Cardano drops the same too. Cardano however is a massively more efficient blockchain. The fundamental argument doesn’t apply. They even told that story.

The point here is that these markets and investors are still treating all of these assets as a single thing. Only Ethereum in recent months has broken out and moves materially on its own. I put this in my approach, but I think it is really important. You need some mental model of the utility for each of these assets. That utility should drive how you value them, and how you differently value them.

Last night as we were getting ready to go to sleep I noticed that a helicopter had been circling overhead for a while. It was circling large swaths around Highway 62 and France Ave, just a few blocks from our house. Tammy found out via NextDoor what as up, and we quickly heard what turned out to be a mugging attempt that turned into a shooting at Fairview Southdale. We later learned the victim survived despite a gunshot to the head, but the suspect fled on foot and was “at large”. The helicopter was searching. The police asked everyone to leave their exterior lights on which we did. They didn’t catch the suspect, and still haven’t.

Agree with this and having tried many other apps it’s amazing how even a little latency is a deal breaker.
Couple things to note: the Pencil latency in Linea is incredible. Better than every iPad drawing app I’ve tried. Feels like Apple Notes.
