We had a fun evening watching Queen Machine in Grand Rapids on their first US tour! 🎶

We had great pizza and equally great beer at Rapids Brewing Co. Some deliciously hoppy beers! 🍻

We had a nice morning hiking around Golden Anniversary State Forest. The light and fall leaves were pretty and inspired a lot of photographs.

After watching the Yankee’s school the Twins, I’m rather enjoying watching the Astro’s return the favor to the Yankees. Plus the Astro’s are Tyler’s favorite team. 😀⚾️

Tammy and I thoroughly enjoyed Mike Birbiglia’s The New One tonight. Birbig’s is one of the funniest comedians around in our book. 🤣

Maple tree showing off its fall colors. 🍁

Last time on the boat for 2019. Heading in to storage for the winter.

Greatly enjoying Circus Abyssinia’s Ethiopian Dreams at the Children’s Theatre. 🤩🎭

Noting that I may be the very last person on Cannon Lake to get my boat in for the winter, as an early snow falls. 😬❄️

Bad Weather Brewing

Weather was bad tonight, so went to Bad Weather Brewing for the first time. Great tap room! Very busy. 🍻

Black Market StP

Took in Black Market StP barbecue with a bunch of my old neighbors. Great food, outside, with October snow keeping the beers cold. 🍻

Adrienne Peirce and I were honored to be recognized for 9 years as Founding Board Members of Minnestar. We finish our board service at the end of this year, along with Kevin Spreng, who wasn’t able to be there tonight. It’s been an honor to be part of this organization!

Minnedemo tonight was absolutely fabulous. Such a great variety of demos! A couple apps I installed while watching the demo!

Crowd queuing up for Minnedemo 33 at the Riverview Theater!

Solid State from MHTA

Attending the premier of Solid State: Minnesota’s High Tech History hosted by MHTA.

Good panel conversation following screening of Solid State.

Minnesota Twins v. New York Yankees

Time for some baseball! ⚾️

Kepler! We need this! ⚾️

Cruz, you’re our only hope. 😬⚾️

Flying the MN United flag but our cheering wasn’t enough to get the good guys the win over the Sounders. Looking forward to defeating LA Galaxy at Allianz Field! ⚽️

Mazie and I enjoyed some delicious Spinning Wylde gourmet cotton candy at Hack the Gap!

I’m very happy that SPS Commerce and #TeamSPS are able to sponsor and volunteer at Hack the Gap again! This is a great organization and event hacking the diversity gap! 👏

Tesla

We made a quick stop today at a fairly busy store in South Minneapolis and when we got out I decided it would be fun to try the new “Come to me” feature that Tesla shipped in v10. I found a spot on the sidewalk where I could clearly see my car. There were a lot of people walking around and three cars backing out with others coming into their spots. I waited a moment for things to calm down and then press and held the “Come to me” button on my phone.

The Tesla Model 3 lit up and then backed out of it’s parking spot. It then stopped, turned the wheels, and started down the parking lot headed towards me. Then a couple were walking through the lane and I lifted up on the button which stopped the car immediately. Then two cars came down the lane and were behind my now driverless car. Then more people came, and I tried to start the car back toward me but it wasn’t real sure what to do with all the people around.

Now here I am about 70 feet from my car, with it blocking everyone else, and nobody in it. So I quick ran down to the car to rescue it from it’s confusion. Lesson learned, only do this in a pretty calm parking lot.
