The gardens at Canoe Bay were filled with incredible flowers.

Tammy and I toasting our 22nd Anniversary! πŸ₯‚πŸ’πŸ₯°

Two people holding champagne flutes on a wooded deck overlooking ferns and a lake, smiling at the camera.

At Canoe Bay, and a great view for breakfast.

Tammy and I had a fun time seeing Twisters at the Stardust Drive-In Theater in Chetek, WI!

Movie poster for Twisters showing three people fleeing a massive flaming tornado on an open plain beside a truck.

We like to check out drive-in movie theaters when we travel. Tammy found the Stardust Drive-In and we wanted to see Twisters so off we went. This place was packed full of people. There were probably 50 people waiting at the concession stand. So many pickups with air mattresses in the back!

Incredible Halibut main course at Canoe Bay.

Pan-seared halibut fillet on a creamy sauce with edamame, corn, and diced peppers, garnished with microgreens, in a white bowl.

At Canoe Bay there are very friendly deer all over the property. They run around and seem to have a delightful time frolicking in the woods. They wont let you get too close but they also don’t run away when you approach.

At Canoe Bay for our anniversary weekend. We were here once before any kids. Very tranquil.
