Plowed In

I realize that getting plowed in is part of the deal. That plow line is just under 5 feet deep 3 feet deep (upon closer inspection). The snowblower and I will be working overtime.

Snow-covered backyard with a fence, swing set, and a dense wall of plowed snow roughly 3 feet high blocking the gate.

Snow Shelf

I couldn’t figure out any way to clear the alley where I leave the recycling out. Just too much snow. Solution? Flatten the top with a shovel and make it a shelf! Excellent!

Four blue City of Minneapolis recycling bins and a black trash cart sitting atop a packed snow shelf along a house exterior, with flattened cardboard boxes leaning against the wall behind them.

No grilling today.

Over a foot of snow in the driveway.

And, not much of anywhere for it to go. Still figuring out where to put the big piles of snow in the new house. Alley on one side of the driveway, fence on the other. Neighbors garage at the end.

Perfect day to listen to Trip Shakespeare’s “Snow Day” here in snowed in Minneapolis!

Snow-covered backyard patio with a Big Green Egg smoker on a wooden table during heavy snowfall, deep snow blanketing the ground Snow blower clearing a narrow driveway path between tall snow walls, with tire tracks visible in the packed snow below.

I officially declare, that as of today, it is too warm to wear wool socks. Will revisit in November. Thank You.

Best day in months. Wow. Awesome everything. Spent hours outside. First shorts day of the year for me. Big Green Egg at dinner too!

You know, it has been really cold here in Minneapolis lately. But, my relatives in Lignite, ND have it much worse. That’s -42 without any wind chill! Stay inside Grandma! 🙂
