Outdoors

Bison are one of my favorite animals, and I learned something new about them today. When a storm is approaching Bison, unlike nearly all other animals, will gather as a herd and charge toward the storm. They protect each other in numbers and push through the storm directly. 🌩️🦬

Did 10 stair repeats on our walk tonight. 320 steps. Also breaking in new boots for our hiking trip this summer. 🥾 Tammy joined me and Mazie decided to run them many, many times. 😅

Got a pair of Lowa Renegade GTX Mid hiking boots to get ready for our hiking trip in Switzerland this summer. Excited to get these on the trail!

It is weird to me that I’ve been to Manhattan hundreds of times over the years, but I’ve never really gone into Central Park at all. We decided to walk from our hotel up and through Central Park to the Beacon Theatre to see Bono and it was so cool to explore a bit of the park.

The ice is nearly gone on Lake Harriet, and the north shore of the lake was like a giant slushie with small chunks of ice. As the waves tossed them around they made the coolest tinkling noises, like millions of pieces of glass clinking together.
