Preener’s Eve 2015 with The New Standards
Preeners Eve with The New Standards is one of my favorite New Year events! The Dakota is such a great venue. Front row seats tonight!
See list of The New Standards shows.
Music
Concert notes, set lists and personal impressions fill this category. From the dreamy Americana of Lord Huron to Coldplay’s stadium spectacle and intimate performances at the Dakota jazz club, I share what moved me in the moment.
Proper music for lasagna preparation, The Three Tenors in Concert.
Not enough being said about streaming music services bringing DRM back to an ecosystem we only recently rid of that plague.
Super excited for The New Standards Holiday Show tonight with my lovely wife after a crazy busy week!

Zedd put the volume on 11 and never let up.
Fun that Ryan Adams did a full cover of Taylor Swift’s 1989. More my speed. 🙂
Introduced the kids to Billy Idol. Too funny.
The Avett Brothers performing a great show at MN State Fair tonight.
If you can come to an Avett Brothers show and just sit there without even tapping your foot; check your pulse - you might be dead.
Foo Fighters at Xcel Energy
Really impressed by Royal Blood opening for Foo’s. These guys rock.
Thousands of phones put out a lot of light.
Awesome that the Foo Fighters send respect to hometown legends Hüsker Dü.
Foo Fighters put on an amazing 2h 45m set. Awesome show!
