Got the new MacBook Air today (Space Gray, 16 GB memory, 500 GB storage). Reminds me how much I liked the form factor on the original MacBook Air. TouchID is great to have, and beautiful Retina display!

It’s surprising to me that this five computer limitation is still around in iTunes. iOS devices don’t count against it, what’s special about Macs?

iTunes error dialog stating you cannot authorize more than 5 computers with your Apple ID and must deauthorize one first.

The new 12.9" iPad Pro with the attached keyboard is a good size for an airline seat tray. The previous generation 12.9" I found too large for flights and used the smaller one. This one works fine with keyboard.

iOS has Pythonista for Python, and Scriptable is awesome for JavaScript, but I wish there was a Lua version of one or both of them. Would be fun to use Lua to automate iOS and create helper scripts. All augmenting Shortcuts capabilities! 🤓

Just used the new iOS Shortcuts “Run JavaScript on Web Page” feature to automate a task that had no API endpoint before. It’s a very interesting capability. You can shove stuff in and out of the page and trigger other events while doing it. 🤔

My Apple Watch has gotten very confused with 8 duplicates of all calendar events. Can’t figure out how to clear or reset this yet.

Two of my three Macs are upgraded to macOS Mojave. The last one that is still upgrading is an iMac with Fusion drive and is taking a lot longer than the others. I suspect some APFS twiddling. My ancient MacBook Pro 15" Retina from 2012 upgraded fine.

Upgrading to the new iPhone XS using iCloud Backup. First time I’ve done this not using iTunes local backup. 🤞🏻 Also letting it magically move my Apple Watch settings.

Only a few minutes into the “post home button” iOS experience and I can already see that the gesture interface is going to significantly increase my use of fast app switching.
