I’ve tried to get used to “Click wallpaper to show desktop” for long enough now and I still despise it. Also “Show menu bar background” is a must. Annoys me that I now have to go set esoteric settings to make macOS work the way I want it to.

I’ve never had an Apple TV require this Recovery Mode. It seems to be working fine to fix it.

I had Siri read me a long email while walking and it was like stepping back to olden times. The TTS was lacking, not recognizing acronyms and with poor inflection. And I couldn’t even just ask “read this”, that failed. Instead I had to manually select the text and then press “Speak”. 😬

Keep reading · 1 minute: Jamie 5.3.53I suspect the reason Apple Intelligence mail categories are only supported on the iPhone is at least in part because of the difficulty with synchronizing that state across multiple devices. Feels similar to People identification in Photos at first, but Apple can’t control the backend on email.
After much debating I finally decided to get a new laptop and ordered a MacBook Pro with M4 Pro and configured nicely. This thing is going to be fast! Will be especially nice for photography. 😎
