Tammy creates a family yearbook each year. The 2020 one took a bit but arrived today and it is awesome. These are family treasures. She always keeps one for each kid shrink wrapped and stored away for them. π
Punk Rock Candle
When we make candles we measure out all the wax and scent, and then measure again as you pour into the various vessels. There is usually a little bit of wax left in the melting pot on each batch and we usually pour that into a potpourri candle, little bits at a time.
We were making candles recently and I had no jars to fill, but we still had the leftover bits of wax from each batch. We also had a bunch of wood wick trimmings laying around. So I decided to embrace the Punk Rock ethos and make a Punk Rock Candle. π€
Vessel? I have tinfoil. Wicks? I have these trimmings from other candles. Scent? Whatever. Came out about 8β wide with three 3/4β wood wicks.
I kind of dig it. Burns well too! π€©

We had a great time watching the United defeat Sporting KC today 2-1! It was a great last regular season home game. It was only 47 Β°F and 3 of the 4 of us were woefully underdressed but we still belted out Wonderwall at the end! π€πβ½οΈ

Lucky wanted to drive today.
We stopped in at SI Hobby in downtown Faribault for their grand opening today! Tyler got a few PokΓ©mon card packs. We arrived about 10 minutes after they opened the doors and there was already a good crowd of people there. π
Time for sβmores! π₯
Our first year with the garden was a good success. We learned a lot and had successes and misses. Tammy and Mazie reset everything so we are ready to plant in the spring. We are giving one box just to strawberries.
