SPS Commerce Celebrates 10th Anniversary as Public Company
Yesterday #TeamSPS celebrated our 10th anniversary of going public on the NASDAQ. To celebrate team members shared pictures of themselves in SPS gear. I switched shirts many times throughout the day! We also published a video on LinkedIn and on Twitter with everyones pictures.
It is so great to see all of the #TeamSPS pride on display, and all the little kids and pets in SPS gear as well! 👏
We weren’t able to get our backyard fencing completed before we got Lucky, so we have erected this barrier that is so far holding her in. Fence company is hoping to get here in a week or two. 🤞
Lucky figuring out how to stand on her hind legs and look out the window.
First smash burgers of the year! Delicious. 🍔
Clouds blowing through quick on a blustery day. Soon the leaves will be popping.
Riding with #TeamSPS Peloton spinners I got a new 30 minute PR (343 kj) this morning! 💥🚴🏼♂️ #FitByFifty
Suggestions for importing Jekyll blog to micro.blog?
Micro.blog community: I need to migrate about 8,000 blog posts from a Jekyll site to micro.blog. Does anyone have suggestions or pointers to existing tools?
At first glance I thought I would write a Python script to recurse the _posts directory and hit micro.blog’s API creating each post. However, I have Jekyll tags in those markdown files that will cause serious challenges. Now I’m thinking I should use Jekyll to publish the site and then use the RSS or even a custom file, perhaps JSONFeed, to then import into micro.blog? Then I can make Jekyll do the hardest work for me.
Anyone done this and can recommend an approach? This seems to be similar to the method Manton Reece used when importing his podcast.
Just realized that other than taking Lucky for walks, I haven’t left the house since Sunday afternoon. 😬

Osmo Coding Duo
Osmo was running a sale recently and I decided to fill out our collection. We got the Hot Wheels™ MindRacers which I didn’t think was going to be that fun, but surprised me by being super fun to play together. I also ordered Coding Duo, in part because we already had Coding Awbie and Coding Jam, so Coding Duo was just another $15 to get two pieces to put it all together. Tyler fired up Coding Duo and has been having a lot of fun with it, and I am very impressed with what a learning experience this is.
Coding Duo uses all of the control pieces of both Coding Awbie and Coding Jam, and introduces the idea of having two characters that you write sequences of code for independently. To play the game, you have to write a distinct sequence of actions for each character, and to make it even more interesting each character has unique capabilities. To complete the levels, Tyler learned a bunch about debugging, getting the programs to interact with each other, and building complex sequences that interact with each other. You can also have two people play together by each writing a program of their own.
It is a very impressive learning environment. I would highly recommend it for any kids that want to explore logic and coding concepts.
What do you do when your new puppy figures out how to jump on the couch? 🤷🏼♂️
Had a great 30 minute spin class on Peloton this morning. #FitByFifty
As great as yesterday’s weather 🌤 was, that is how not great today’s weather 💨🌧 is. Brrr! 🥶
We took Lucky on a walk that was just too long for her puppy stamina yesterday so I had to carry her for a while.
