Jamie Thingelstad is an experienced technology visionary with a successful track record of product and platform innovation and technology leadership for large-scale, financial services, media, retail, and software-as-a-service technology companies. He currently serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer of SPS Commerce (NASDAQ: SPSC), the leading provider retail cloud services powering the largest retail business network connecting 70,000 companies in the retail industry to efficiently and quickly conduct business.
He has served as Chief Technology Officer for leading financial publishers including the Wall Street Journal Digital Network, Dow Jones, and MarketWatch, Inc. He led the development of innovative social and e-commerce solutions as Chief Technology Officer of 8thBridge. He was founding Chief Technology Officer of BigCharts, which sold to MarketWatch in 1999. Also, he has developed and managed products and technologies for properties including Barron’s, Virtual Stock Exchange, Dow Jones Newswires and Dow Jones Indexes.
His passion for technology ignited at the University of Minnesota, Institute of Technology, where he built a database-driven management system to help serve disabled students and faculty while still an undergrad.
A committed volunteer, Mr. Thingelstad serves on the Board of Directors of and Minnestar and has previously served on the board of CaringBridge. He lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with his wife, two children, and their dog.
