The most open of the Summer Challenges I gave Tyler was to create a Playdate Experience. No requirements other than something that could be played on the Playdate and created in Pulp. Tyler really got into this and created a full interactive game experience — The 5 Piece Sword. 🗡️
\nHe wrote additional blog posts on the simple enemies in the game, how the heart system for health works, and the spikes and spike balls in the game.
\nThe game is fun to play and has a lot of challenging levels. He’s still crafting the final boss stage and at that point he may publish the file so others could load it. Nicely done! 👏

\nThis is a very open ended challenge to use the Playdate Pulp web-based game editor to create some kind of experience for the Playdate. This could be a game, something educational, or just silly. There is no complexity requirement but it should have some goal that it is designed for.

\nFor this challenge you will create a simple counter to keep track of any number of events that you might want to track. You could use this to keep track of the number of books you’ve read, the number of times you did a certain activity, or how many summer challenges you’ve completed.
\nThe counter must be created using Shortcuts and Data Jar. The shortcut should have at least these functions:
\nOnce you have created the Shortcut then write a post about how you created it, and include a link to install the shortcut via the share sheet.

\nFor this challenge you can write about any book that you’ve read. A book report style post is fine, but you could also share something different about the book. The post should include an image of the cover. Preferably it would also include some text quoted from the book as well.

\nThis challenge is about expressing your creativity through images. First, identify a topic or theme that you want to focus on. It could be something like flowers, or water as a topic. For themes it could be movement, warmth, wind. Then take a walk with your phones camera at the ready and capture five to ten photos that express the topic or theme that you picked. Share the photos along with the topic or theme on your blog.

\nFairly simple challenge — embed a chess game that you played on lichess.org into a blog post on your site. It should be fully embedded, not just a link. Add a brief commentary on the game and where you felt the critical points were. Would be great to include the PGN and reference the moves where it makes sense.
